An artist reception will be held on Saturday, February 3 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
The “We Three Kings” exhibition honors James Atkins, R.L. Washington and Richard J. Watson, renowned artists whose works capture the energies, legacies, traditions and pastimes of ordinary folks.
Each is widely known for their distinctive abilities to document urban lifestyle and nostalgic southern landscapes, offer a sense of comfort and familiarity within their works.
“There’s a strong connection amongst them by common associations, dedicated studies via The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and continuing passion throughout the years using their creative talents to encapsulate a story that might otherwise be lost,” Moody Jones said in a press release.
