Susan Sommer, Silent Rhythm Exhibit

A selection of recent paintings by Susan Sommer, at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. This event will be followed by a screening of Susan Sommer’s film entitled “Silent Rhythm” at the Moore College of Art & Design galleries, 1916 Race Street. In the film we see the artist work on her painting, An Experiment, from its start to its completion, with commentary by art critic Peter Frank, and curator Robert Metzger, who have followed Sommer’s work for more than twenty years. Sommer’s work continues to evolve with the inspiration that comes rom the seasonal shifts of her natural surroundings.
