This year RAIR will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Trash Bash at Atelier FAS Gallery where guests can enjoy delicious food and beverages and bid on Trash Boutique and donated Artwork in the Silent Auction in support of RAIR’s 2024 programming.

RAIR is really excited to bring RAIR alum Eugenio Salas back to Trash Bash! Last year, he and his collaborator Zulma Guzmán crafted nixtamalized corn-based foods from Central America as a continuation of the project he started while in residence at RAIR in 2021. This year he is bringing chef Juan Placencia and together they will improvise a Mexican and Peruvian menu with upcycled ingredients as part of his current project, Communal Griddle. Come enjoy their offerings and learn about Eugenio’s art practice with the community!

This year RAIR will be holding a Silent Auction of Trash Boutique (unique works made by RAIR staff are 100% from waste materials) and Artworks from local artists, past residents and RAIR family.
And, RAIR is working toward Trash Bash becoming a zero waste event.

About RAIR
Situated within a commercial construction and demolition waste recycling facility located in Northeast Philadelphia, RAIR’s flagship residency program offers artists studio space and access to more than 550 tons of materials per day. RAIR, a nonprofit arts organization, has hosted over 70 artists from around the globe since its inception in 2010 and engages community groups, educators, industry partners, as well as artists in special projects to initiate cross- disciplinary dialogue about art, sustainability and waste culture.
