Bradley Wind’s paintings in resin, acrylic, and ink are poured, etched, and carved with narratives of solitude and impermanence. They reflect the Japanese concept of “mono no aware,” acknowledging life’s fleeting beauty. Wind’s subject matter ranges from memories of the bees, dogs, and children he has raised to portraits of heroic solitary figures including Stanislav Petrov and Vasili Arkhipov, two Soviet men who defied orders to launch nuclear attacks, each saving mankind with their lone acts of defiance. This exhibition includes a selection of Wind’s sculptural work, paintings, and works on paper and is the artist’s first solo exhibition in Philadelphia.
Join us for an opening reception at CFEVA, The Barclay, 237 S 18th Street, Suite 3A, Philadelphia , PA 19103
