Black Hippie Art
Join Keyonna Butler from Black Hippie Art & curator Vanessa Chandler for a fun and informative stroll through Old City’s art galleries! View current exhibitions, speak with the gallery owners and network with other art lovers living in Philadelphia. This is a great opportunity to meet new neighbors, explore the city and get inspired!
We’ll meet up at Coffee Zeit (246 Race St) at 1:00pm to grab drinks and refreshments before we begin our stroll. Our first gallery stop will be Pentimenti Gallery for a tour of the La Vaughn Belle solo exhibition with gallery Director & Co-Owner Christine Pfister. Museum for Art in Wood to view their current solo exhibition Gina Siepel: To Understand a Tree. Next we’ll head to Muse Gallery, one of Philly’s older artist co-operative galleries, for a tour of the Nancy Neil solo exhibition with Gallery Director Carolyn Harper. The third gallery we’ll visit is Paradigm Gallery for a tour with Co-Founder Sara McCorriston. We’ll end at Artists & Craftsman (307 Market St) so you can pick up supplies for your newly inspired art project!

Black Hippie Art is a digital art platform that empowers BIPOC creatives and entrepreneurs with resources to work, explore, and become financially successful in the creative industry. Our aim is to establish a secure space where artists of color can flourish and progress in their art careers, both in Philadelphia and beyond.
Keyonna Butler is a multidisciplinary artist, writer and curator based in Lansdowne, PA. With over 10 years of being a part of the creative industries in many forms, Keyonna has worked with designers and brands such as Dah Mod Collins of RM67 Studio, James R. Sanders, Sibby Liv, The Sable Collective, The Humanitas Movement, Philadelphia Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week and FAME Worldwide in London and during Art Basel Miami.
Vanessa Chandler is a Philadelphia based curator, event planner, nonprofit fundraiser and MC. She finds her passion in connecting artists to opportunities, curating art exhibitions and MCing live events. Born in Norristown PA, Vanessa has lived in Philadelphia for nearly a decade since attending Temple University. She currently lives in the Germantown neighborhood, where she produces Germantown Art & Sound, a creative kickback & community art show showcasing local artists and bringing together hundreds of Germantown residents each season.]
