November First Friday: Artist Talks at Locks Gallery

In celebration of our current exhibitions, join us for a special reception featuring exclusive talks with artists Lee Kang-So and Joanna Pousette-Dart and curators Lynn Zelevansky and Phong Bui. Learn more about each artists’ painting practices and lifelong careers.

Lee Kang-So (b. 1943) is critically acclaimed as one of the most important contemporary artists in Korea. “Lee Kang-So: Wind / Flow” features a selection of paintings and ceramics and is the artist’s first solo show in the U.S. in over a decade, coinciding with his participation in the Guggenheim exhibition “Only The Young: Experimental Art in Korea, 1960s–1970s.”

“Joanna Pousette-Dart: Line Moving through Light,” features a selection of works on paper inspired by the artist’s trip to Mexico City.

Reception begins at 5pm with talks at 6pm and 6:30pm.
