More about the project: Undue Burden (Oct. 19 – Nov. 23, 2024) is a residency at the Painted Bride by Hook&Loop, an artist collective led by Disabled, Sick, neurodivergent and MAD people in Philadelphia.
Undue Burden includes both a digital and printed community archive celebrating and documenting the experiences of Disabled people; histories often pathologized or ignored. Disabled Philadelphians are invited to contribute to the growing, living archive installation through 5 accessible, multi-sensory workshops (details below). Attendance at multiple events is encouraged, but not necessary, to enjoy the residency.
