Closing Reception and Artist’s Talk

“Ravel is an interesting word. A contranym. It can be both a noun and a verb. It can mean both tangle and untangle. And isn’t that how life can be sometimes? We find ourselves in a great big mess. And the more we try to tease the mess apart and get everything back in order, the more jumbled it becomes. In the end there is no reweaving the unraveled tapestry, not really. There is simply taking the threads you have at your feet and starting again.”
