The Galleries at Moore College of Art & Design will host the opening reception for its fall exhibitions on Friday, October 4 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The idea of artist-as-entrepreneur is central to this year’s thematic framework with three presentations—”Price Lists & Placements,” Artblog’s Art MKT, and Terri Saulin ’92: “Dear Believer”—that, together, provide a platform for artistic representation as a new concept for The Galleries at Moore.

Featuring a broad range of works in a variety of media by Philadelphia-based and regional artists, this large-format, curated exhibition resembles an art fair with pieces available for purchase. It will remain on view to allow for public programming around the role artists play as independent businesspeople.

A percentage of each “Price Lists & Placements” sale will benefit need-based opportunities for students looking to enroll in Moore’s youth art programs. Artists in the “Price Lists & Placements” exhibition include Madeleine Conover, Corinna Cowles, Nick Lenker, Julia Policastro, Matthew Raghunauth, Zekey Thomas, Jon Weary, and Mitch Wiesen.

The Artblog Art MKT is an art sale organized by Artblog and co-curated by Moore adjunct professor and artist Jacob Chris Hammes, Moore alumna Terri Saulin ‘92, and painter Tim McFarlane. The market will feature affordable works of art from 26 talented artists and two renowned booksellers in an accessible space.

Also on view in Moore’s Alumni Gallery is Terri Saulin ’92: “Dear Believer,” a collection of vessels, sculptures and drawings that reflect the layered experiences between relationships. The resulting objects attempt to find a space that permits day-dreaming, remembrance and peace.

“Price Lists & Placements” and Artblog’s Art MKT will be on view from October 4 through December 7. “Dear Believer” will be on view from October 4 through November 16. Each exhibition is free and open to the public.
