Celebrate the opening of “Embodied Sound” + “The Earth Has A Fever” at Da Vinci Art Alliance!
In her upcoming exhibition at Da Vinci Art Alliance, “Embodied Sound,” artist Julie Woodard uses her long-standing textile art practice to explore these questions. Beginning with her own original music as source material, Woodard transforms the sonic into textural, and in so doing reflects on the iterative ways in which we process our lived experiences.
How can art about environmental catastrophe move us to action? That is the question at the heart of “The Earth Has a Fever,” a printmaking exhibition. Featuring a wide array of printmaking techniques, the works in this immersive exhibition aim to change the conversation around the climate crisis by approaching it first from a place of feeling. We are inherently in relationship with the Earth; perhaps our emotional investment can empower us to heal that relationship.
Join us for delicious food and drinks, good company and great art from 4-7pm on Saturday, July 6!
