I warmly welcome you again this year to my studio in West Philadelphia.
My studio has artwork from collections throughout my career. You can see these collections on my website at tremainsmith.com. If you are in Philly, come by to see them in person!
On Sunday, my daughter Sarah will be here with a sampling of her fashion designs featuring my art in her prints. She will have t-shirts of my artwork available with 30% of sales going to WOARPhiladelphia Center Against Sexual Violence to support free services and support for people who have experienced sexual trauma. She’ll be bringing her sewing machine if you have items that need mending. Sarah Tremain is a sustainable fashion brand that’s also looking to help people heal.
As with my daughter, my artwork is about healing. I’m working to bring the skills I’ve used as an artist to heal myself for over 30 years into spaces of collective healing. I’ve returned to Community College of Philadelphia to study mental health & well-being, trauma, addiction and faith & spirituality in recovery. I’d love to talk more with any who are interested about this. I look forward to seeing you October 21 & 22!
